What Is Meta AI on WhatsApp?

Meta AI on WhatsApp is an assistant Meta places in some accounts. You may see a circle, a chat, or a small Meta mark on a message. It is their product. Rollout still depends on the account, the country, and the version of WhatsApp.

Shmooz is a different chat. We are not Meta, not OpenAI, and not WhatsApp Support. We cannot add their button, and we cannot remove their mark.

The question is not the same as turning it off

• What it is — stay here. In Hebrew, the same question is מה זה מטא AI בוואטסאפ. In Arabic, the mark itself is ما هي علامة ميتا في واتساب.
• Turn it off — remove Meta AI. The Hebrew page that already gets those visits stays להסיר מטא AI. The Arabic remove title stays إزالة ميتا.
• The button is missing — Meta AI not showing. That title stays. There is no install: download Meta AI.
• You cannot @ it — can’t tag Meta AI.
• The chat opens and stays quiet — Meta AI not responding. An error or a button that will not open stays Meta AI not working. Those titles stay.
• WhatsApp Business — a different app. Not a customer bot, and this page does not name a price.

What the mark is not

The Meta mark is not a virus notice, not a second WhatsApp account, and not a support badge. Deleting the Meta app from the phone does not create the button, and it does not erase the mark from a chat that already has it. We do not publish a workaround.

If you want a separate assistant for a question, a voice note, or a photo, open Shmooz on WhatsApp. That chat does not become Meta AI.

Is Meta AI the same as ChatGPT?

No. Meta AI is Meta’s assistant. ChatGPT is OpenAI’s. Shmooz is neither. We do not pretend to be either one.

Can you install Meta AI on my WhatsApp?

No. There is no file that adds the button. The Meta app from the store does not create it inside a chat.

Are you WhatsApp Support?

No. We do not publish a support number.
