Checks that are actually yours to try
- Update WhatsApp from the store you already use, then close it and open it. We do not name a software version. WhatsApp has not published one list that fits every phone.
- Send a normal message to a person. If that fails, the account or the network is the problem, not Meta’s bot.
- A chat set to stay on one phone can keep Meta out of that chat. We do not turn that setting on, and we do not sit in the chat.

- Turning the feature off is a different job: remove Meta AI.
If you still need an answer today
Open a separate chat. Shmooz on WhatsApp does not repair Meta’s thread. People use it for a question, a voice note, or a photo. A voice note is the job we see most after ordinary messages. We transcribe what you already sent. We do not send the reply to someone else for you.

FAQ
Why is Meta AI not responding on my WhatsApp?
The app can open their chat and still return nothing. That is their service. We do not see their queue, and we cannot restart it.
Is a silent Meta AI the same as a banned WhatsApp account?
No. A ban is a screen in the phone app about your account. A quiet Meta chat is only that chat. We do not publish a ban length, and we do not unlock accounts.
Can you reply instead?
In a separate chat, yes. Paste the question, or forward the voice note, into Shmooz. That does not make the Meta button start answering.
