- WhatsApp Web will not open — the phone app still works. The browser, the network, or the linked session is the problem. Stay on this page.

Why WhatsApp Web stays blocked
- The phone is offline or the screen is locked. WhatsApp Web needs the phone app nearby and connected, unless you use a linked device that WhatsApp already allows on your account.
- The browser or network blocks it. School, office, and some public Wi‑Fi filter web.whatsapp.com. Try mobile data on the phone, or a different network. A “WhatsApp Web unblocked” extension is not an official fix.
- The session logged out. Open the official site, show the code, and link it from WhatsApp on the phone: Linked devices. Do not scan codes from a page that is not web.whatsapp.com.
- An unofficial client. Modded APKs and “unblocked WhatsApp Web” apps are not WhatsApp. They are a frequent reason accounts get banned.
What to try, in order
- On the phone, update WhatsApp from the Play Store or App Store and confirm you can send a normal message.
- On the computer, use Chrome, Edge, or Safari and go only to https://web.whatsapp.com.
- If the page never loads, switch networks. A filter will not clear because a blog told it to.
- If the phone shows a ban screen, stop. Web cannot bypass that. Appeal inside the app.
